How often should floor polishing be done?
It depends on the floor type and usage. Marble and granite in high-traffic residential areas benefit from polishing every 6–12 months. Cement floors typically every 12–24 months. Wooden floors every 12–18 months. Lightly used areas can go longer between services. Our team will assess and recommend the right interval during your free consultation.
Can you polish LVT or vinyl flooring?
No — and we’d advise strongly against it. LVT and vinyl floors have a factory-applied PUR wear layer that should not be polished, waxed or sealed. Doing so coats and dulls the surface, damages the wear layer and voids the manufacturer warranty. LVT maintenance is simply a damp mop with neutral pH cleaner. If you have LVT that looks dull, the issue is usually surface residue rather than a need for polishing — we can advise on the right cleaning approach.
Is marble waxing necessary, or is cleaning enough?
How long does floor polishing take?
Typical timelines: marble waxing for an average HDB or condo living/dining area (40–60 m²) takes 3–5 hours. Cement floor polishing for the same area takes 4–8 hours depending on the starting condition. Wooden floor polishing takes 4–6 hours. Carpet deep cleaning for a 3-bedroom HDB typically takes 2–4 hours. All areas must be clear of furniture before our team arrives.

What is the difference between marble waxing and marble crystallisation?
Marble waxing applies a protective wax layer on top of the marble surface — it enhances gloss and protects against staining, but the wax layer sits above the stone. Crystallisation is a chemical process that bonds a protective layer into the top layer of the marble itself — it’s longer-lasting and creates a harder, more durable shine. Crystallisation is typically recommended for commercial marble and high-traffic residential areas. Our team will advise which is appropriate for your marble type and usage during the free assessment.
How soon can we walk on the floor after polishing?
After marble waxing: typically 2–3 hours drying time before light foot traffic, 12–24 hours before heavy foot traffic or returning furniture. After cement polishing: depends on the sealer used — typically 4–8 hours. After wooden floor lacquering: 4–6 hours for light traffic, 24–48 hours for full furniture load.
