Is composite decking suitable for Singapore's tropical humid climate?
Yes. Lexsure’s WPC composite decking is engineered specifically for Singapore conditions — 100% waterproof, mould and termite resistant, dimensionally stable in tropical heat, and UV-treated to resist fading. It does not warp, rot, crack or splinter the way timber does in our climate.
Can composite decking be installed over existing tiles, concrete or HDB balcony surfaces?
Yes. Our WPC decking installs over flat concrete, existing tile or screed using either solid or hollow joist substructure with stainless steel clips. For HDB balconies and small terraces, our DIY 300×300mm tile system clips together with no adhesive or demolition required — protecting the underlying waterproof membrane.
How does composite decking compare to timber in cost over its lifecycle?
Composite decking has a higher upfront cost than softwood timber but significantly lower total cost of ownership. Our WPC ranges carry a 10–15 year structural warranty, require no sanding, sealing or staining, and are not vulnerable to termites or rot. Over a 10-year period, total cost is typically 30–50% lower than maintained timber.
What warranty does Lexsure provide on composite decking?
All Lexsure composite decking carries a manufacturer warranty against fading, staining, cracking, splintering and structural defects under normal use. Standard WPC and 3D Embossing ranges carry a 10-year warranty; Co-Extrusion ranges carry a 15-year warranty. DIY tiles carry a 5-year warranty. Full warranty terms are issued on quotation.
What is the difference between Standard WPC, 3D Embossing and Co-Extrusion decking?
Standard WPC has a brushed or sanded wood-grain surface — ideal for general garden, communal and balcony use. 3D Embossing adds a deeper textured surface for higher slip resistance (R11) — preferred for pool surrounds and wet F&B alfresco areas. Co-Extrusion bonds a polymer cap layer over the WPC core for the highest stain, scratch and fade resistance — specified for high-traffic commercial projects requiring 15-year performance.
Do you provide installation, or supply only?
Both. Lexsure is a direct OEM supplier and installer. Our in-house crew handles substructure preparation, joist installation, decking, edging and railing — all under one warranty, no subcontractors. We also supply trade-only to qualified contractors with all accessories and technical documentation provided.
How quickly can you start a project?
Site survey is usually scheduled within 2–3 working days of enquiry. Once specified, most stocked SKUs are available immediately from our Singapore warehouse — typical install lead-time from confirmation to handover is 2–4 weeks for small balcony projects and 4–8 weeks for larger commercial decks.
Do you supply WPC railings and wall panels to match the decking?
Yes — coordinated WPC railing systems and WPC wall panels are part of the same range, with matching finishes and profiles. This means a single-source specification for decks, perimeter railings and feature walls — issued under one warranty.
